Hey,
I am currently a College student. You will come to know me as Kika. I will give you nothing more on my name or location. I am a college freshman, just to give you a ballpark age group. now let us dive a little bit more into where I come from.
Home was a small place and money was always a problem. As a small kid my parents hid me from their finical troubles. Looking back I can understand why, I was young and wouldn’t understand. Now though I do, it came to a head and I am seeing what even just me going to college is doing to my family. I do not want a life where I worry if my next paycheck will come on time or if it will even cover the expenses of the house. I want something more than that.
I know I sound like some spoiled kid who is used to getting what they want. I’m not. I was told no plenty of times in my life, as I became older I was told “No, we can’t afford it.” I didn’t want to worry about money, I didn’t want to have to care about bills and if I could survive. I wanted a life that was better than what my parents showed to me.
They say they don’t know what the did that sent me on a path to a better life, well mom and dad, if you find this, know that you taught me what I didn’t want. That was enough for me to see what I wanted. Thank you for that.
Onto College life. I like it here a lot. My dorm floor is a lot of fun, if I need amusement all I need to do is stick my head out and say I am bored, I then have an entire floor there to help relieve that boredom. The classes are interesting, college offers a new concept to me, a chance to learn without the idiot in the back interrupting. JOY TO THE WORLD! Yes I was a freak in High School and enjoyed learning. I still do, learning is fun, it just depends on who the teacher is.
I am goin to do a double major while I am here. New Media Publishing is my orginal major, I am adding Marketing, a business major. Both are BS degrees and so I am allowed to pick them up. Here the majors must be of the same dagree type. I now just need a few signatures in order to get the ball rolling.
